Here’s a little sneak peek at this month’s food school:

10.50 am – Tim Farron – Tim will join us to speak about food security, supporting locals, and the Buy Local, Back Britain Campaign.

11 am – Mike Pennington – Pennington’s Spirits – A distilling gin demo.

12 Noon – Dan Sterne – Dan’s Plants https://www.dansplants.co.uk/ – How to start a plant nursery, growing for our climate & environment, and prepping for the RHS Flower Show. His suggestions for easy-care, high-impact perennials.

1 pm – Stewart Lambert Kitridding Farmshop   – Farm to table.

Farm to Fork Roadshow 

Friday 25 July

On the last Friday of the market, it’s our Farm to Fork Roadshow, where we welcome a few farm animals to market along with the farmers who care for them. This is a lovely market and an excellent experience for young families, where they get the opportunity to interact with the farm animals. Don’t forget to pop this great event on your calendar.

Home Grown Here will join us for the rest of the year and will be at our market on the last Friday of every month. Home Grown Here is a co-operative of growers and veg box schemes aspiring to build a better food system for Cumbria. It’s time to swing by their stall and check out their tasty vegetables.
