We are incredibly proud to share some wonderful news. Kendal Farmers’ Market has been named a Regional Champion in the Countryside Alliance Awards 2026 for Food and Drink in the North West.  To be recognised among the very best of rural Britain is a huge honour, and one that fills us with pride for our market, our producers and our town.

This award is about far more than a title. It’s a fantastic opportunity for Kendal to have a voice on a national stage, celebrating the people, produce and passion that make our corner of Cumbria so special. Being chosen by public vote makes this achievement even more meaningful. A massive thank you to everyone who voted for us, with more than 50,000 public votes this year, this award has come directly from you our wonderful customers supporters and community.  We simply wouldn’t be here without you. Your support has carried us this far, and we are so grateful to every person who champions our market, our growers, bakers, brewers and makers month after month.

We’re beyond excited that Kendal Farmers’ Market will now be represented at the House of Lords in the national final  a brilliant shout‑out for Kendal and a powerful spotlight on the town and community.
