Summer might be quietly packing its bags, but we’re not too sad about it because autumn has arrived at Kendal Farmers Market and, goodness, it tastes good.

This Friday, the marketplace will be bursting with the colours, aromas and flavours of the new season. Think warming spices, autumn inspired bakes, handcrafted treats and plenty of delicious reasons to bring a bigger shopping bag.

Pennington’s will be bringing a little seasonal cocktail inspiration to proceedings, while Wagtail Pies have exactly what an autumn day calls for  a wonderfully warming pie. Frankly, we think pies and September were made for one another.

The weather is looking rather friendly too always a bonus in Cumbria! Although, as seasoned marketgoers know, a spot of rain has never stopped us. We’re made of sterner stuff than that.
